Lessons In Business. #Whitenoise

Defined “as meaningless chatter, hubbub, or constant background sounds that drown out all other sounds” - what I can tell you, in the marketing industry, there’s a hell of a lot of “white noise”.

In the past, I used to be distracted by idle white noise and it rattled my confidence.

Then, I decided to abandon the stalking and the oversubscription of what my competition was doing and chose to stay focused.

That’s not to say I’m not aware of my competition, or market forces. I regularly conduct market intelligence, so I can be confident that we’re staying ahead of the curve.

I stopped constantly scrolling, I unsubscribed and I made a conscious decision to focus on my journey.

And I’m very happy with the decision.

Why?

  • I’m now more determined to build a successful agency and my emotional well-being is more grounded.

  • I’m more confident and happier.

  • It’s made me more resolute to develop the business, employ the best people and grow.

  • I don’t want to be the biggest but I do want to be the best.

My lesson.

Don’t get distracted watching everyone else. Stay on your own path.

Ignore the white noise, it’s often idle chatter and can be very distracting.

I hope you enjoyed #whitenoise.
